Shift Lead - Residential Programs

Wednesday – Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Overview:
Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee cottage operations during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for coordinating staff, maintaining program structure, and ensuring a safe and consistent environment for youth in care.
Position Description:
The Shift Lead provides on-shift leadership and support to Direct Care Professionals while ensuring daily operations run effectively. This includes monitoring routines, supporting staff in real time, and maintaining consistency in expectations and program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations within the residential cottage
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Direct Care staff
Ensure routines, activities, and program expectations are carried out consistently
Support implementation of behavioral interventions and maintain a therapeutic environment
Monitor documentation, including daily logs and medication administration records
Communicate with leadership regarding incidents, concerns, and operational needs
Assist with onboarding and supporting new staff
Participate in crisis response and ensure appropriate intervention strategies are followed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human services, preferably in a residential or similar setting
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Must be at least 21 years of age
